The
Goal. The Tipup.
The Goal:
Get the biggest Pike within the two to three days of ice fishing. The
fishing is held on Lake Champlain, Vermont/New York. Every contestant
must be with the group. This means that no one can go off on their own
to fish elsewhere on the lake. Measurements of weight are made directly
after the fish is taken out of the water, this means that the fish is
not frozen or hardened, and currently has not lost or gained anymore water
then it had when pulled up. Measurments are also made with the same meter
for the whole derby, two meters may be used in case one is lost, however
only one meter, the first or most advanced meter will be used for final
scoring. Winner gets the Trophy for the year.
The Tip-Up:
This contest is based on how well you can catch fish with the use of Tipups.
Only Tipups can be used for winning fish. The amount of tipups used is
only restricted by Vermont State Law.
